Creeper  - Honeymoon Suite

I rather get the feeling that this band are going places in the near future. Taken from their new EP, Callous Heart, it’s 2 minutes 50 seconds of rollicking, catchy, sing a long, jump around your bedroom rock. You’ll love it.

Shinedown - Black Cadillac

Proving that there’s more to Shinedown than just loud drums and heavy chords, but showing that even with this more soulful, what makes the band so strong is still very much in evidence, Black Cadillac is the sort of anthemic track that will delight the bands fans when they tour the UK in January. And trust me, I’ll be down the front singing along. Cant’ wait to see them.

Alabama 3 - Woke Up This Morning

Talking of soulful grooves, this track is right up there with the best of them. It’s not new, in fact it first came out in 1997. Any fan of The Sopranos will know it and love it in equal measure and as I’ve been playing it a lot lately I thought it deserved including on a future playlist.

Pvris - Fire

Soon to be seen supporting Bring Me The Horizon in the UK, you might have seen them at Reading or Leeds in the summer, this is another really catchy tune from an American band who won Kerrang’s Best International Newcomer Award this year. It’s been out for a while but there’s been so much good stuff out lately I haven’t had chance to put them on a playlist.

Parkway Drive - A Deathless Son

Okay, so I’ve already included, ‘Vice Grip’ a track from ‘Ire’ on a previous playlist, but I make no apologies for picking this one, showcasing to me just why Parkway Drive have a massive future ahead of them. Think of this as ‘Melodic Death Metal’ if you will, losing none of the power and aggression that PWD have mastered over the years, but adding a deft touch, a string section even, that shows that there’s more to this band than just noise. It’s an incredible album, and this, the final track on it, leaves you with you jaw dropping and finger firmly pressed on the repeat button. Enjoy!
